This is a fantastic natural product that our family makes every year, and we love it! Made with oil from fresh cottonwood buds, olive oil, and beeswax. Cottonwood salve has healing properties and aids in the fast healing of cuts, burns, rashes, dry skin; most major or minor skin irritations or abrasions. Cottonwood salve is also safe on the skin of your pets but avoid their pads. You will also love the smell! Use sparingly, a little goes a long way. For open wounds - clean the wound and use Neosporin first. But then continue to treat with the salve until healed.
Our family has been making cottonwood salve for a few years for personal use and have shared with friends and family. We recently decided to start sharing this lovely product with our Camano/Stanwood community. We have used it for cuts, burns, rashes, sunburns, dry skin, healing surgery scars, healing wounds, and on our dog for his seasonal skin allergy. My husband is an ER nurse and swears by the salve. We prefer natural products when it’s an option, and this is one of our favorites!
